The Italian side, Derthona Basket, is having a great start to the Basketball Champions League Regular Season and is getting closer to securing a place in the next round after their first road win.
Walter De Raffaele’s team defeated Benfica in Lisbon, 58-72, to stay perfect, while leaving the Portuguese side winless after three rounds.
Christian Vital led the winning side with 17 points, four rebounds, and four assists for a game-high PIR of 22, while Ismael Kamagate was two rebounds shy of a double-double with 11 points and a PIR of 21. Kyle Weems added 10 points.
For Benfica, the only player to finish in double digits was Jose Barbosa, with 12 points. Tyler Stone contributed nine points, while Eduardo Francisco had eight points and six rebounds.
