Kolossos is a newcomer in the Basketball Champions League and couldn’t pass the test against Karsiyaka, a de facto contender in the competition.
The Turkish side got the 71-59 road win in Greece.
Errick McCollum scored 21 points and Jerry Boutsiele added 13 in a game that ended up being a walk in the park for the winners who now have the second spot and a 2-1 record in Group C
Kolossos remains winless with London Perrantes being the top scorer with 11 points.
A 20-point advantage in one period
The first half was very competitive with Karsiyaka leading 16-14 in the first period and by four (38-34) after 20 minutes of action. Kolossos didn’t let the guest create any real distance and never trailed by more than nine points.
However, things change in the third quarter with a partial score of 21-7. Karsiyaka dominated the court and closed the period leading by 20 (61-41) putting an early end to the game.
The last quarter proved to be a formality with both teams giving time to their reserves.
