The fifth Team of the Week of the ninth installment of the Basketball Champions League consists of Darius McGhee, RJ Cole, Christian Vital, Derrick Alston Jr., and Stephane Gombauld.

The Team of the Week was announced on Thursday, following Gameday 3 action all around Europe on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Placing in the Team of the Week, McGhee, Cole, Vital, Alston Jr., and Gombauld entered the final lap for the Player of the Week distinction.

A fan vote on championsleague.basketball will decide the next Player of the Week, succeeding Zoltan Perl of Falco Vulcano Szombathely in Weeks 1 and 3, Zac Seljaas of FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets in Week 2, and Jaromir Bohacik of ERA Nymburk in Week 4. The winner will be announced on Friday.

McGhee, 25, remained the driving force for Telekom Baskets Bonn in a win against Maccabi Ramat Gan in Opava on Wednesday. He followed former Bonn star T.J. Shorts II as the second player to start his BCL career with at least 20 points and five assists in three showings.

Cole, 25, went for 19 points, eight assists, and two rebounds as Rytas slowed down Perl and the Szombathely outfit in Twinsbet Arena on Wednesday.

Vital, 27, pushed Bertram Derthona Tortona to a 3-0 start with 17 points behind 6/10 field goals versus SL Benfica in Lisbon on Tuesday.

Alston, 27, needed just 22 minutes to tally 30 points in a lopsided win for BAXI Manresa against Niners Chemnitz on Wednesday.

Gombauld, 27, lifted UnaHotels Reggio Emilia over WKS Slask Wroclaw with 12 points, five blocks, five rebounds, and four steals on Tuesday.
