A few days after parting ways with WKS Slask Wroclaw, Isaiah Whitehead found a new home in Poland, joining King Wilki Morskie Szczecin.

His addition was announced on Wednesday.

Whitehead, 29, is eligible to play for his new team in the Basketball Champions League and Poland’s Orlen Basket Liga effective immediately.

After putting up 13.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per contest over two games with the team based in Wroclaw, he goes from Group F to Group B of the BCL Regular Season. In a similar situation to a 0-3 start for Slask Wroclaw, King Szczecin at 0-4 is on the verge of elimination. At the domestic level, a 3-2 W-L tally for the team coached by Arkadiusz Miloszewski is tied for fourth in the standings.

“I am very excited to be part of a team like King Szczecin,” said Whitehead, a veteran of 89 NBA games with the Brooklyn Nets between the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons, “The fans and us, the players, will fight together for the Polish championship, My goal is to win every possible game. This will lead us to success at the end of the season.”

Combining stints with Ironi Hai Motors Ness Ziona, MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, Besiktas Icrypex and Mornar Bar with the brief spell at Slask Wroclaw, Whitehead has been featured in 17 games of the Champions League.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old guard Luka Markovic penned a four-year contract with fellow BCL participant FMP Soccerbet.
