McCollum, Kramer, Strautins, Alston, Enoch reach BCL Team of the Week

Five candidates for the next Player of the Week award of the Basketball Champions League

Errick McCollum, David Kramer, Arturs Strautins, Derrick Alston Jr., and Steven Enoch were named to the Basketball Champions League Team of the Week on Thursday.

The standouts of the bottom end of Gameday 4 of the Regular Season were also placed in a fan vote on championsleague.basketball to decide the next Player of the Week. The winner will be announced on Friday.

Zoltan Perl of Falco Vulcano Szombathely topped the vote in Weeks 1 and 3. Zac Seljaas of FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets got the nod in Week 2, Jaromir Bohacik of ERA Nymburk in Week 4, R.J. Cole of Rytas in Week 5, and Paul Lacombe of Nanterre 92 in Week 6.

Making the seventh Team of the Week, McCollum went over 20 points for a third straight BCL game, netting 23 points in a home win for Karsiyaka over Kolossos H Hotels on Tuesday.

The latest winning effort for La Laguna Tenerife was highlighted by Kramer tucking in eight from beyond the arc in a home win against Saint-Quentin on Wednesday.

Moving to Strautins, the Latvian winger helped Bertram Derthona Tortona remain undefeated packing 18 points with 5/6 field goals in a home win versus SL Benfica on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, BAXI Manresa got the job done on the road against Niners Chemnitz. Alston Jr. chipped in 16 points, six assists, five rebounds, and one steal.

Another Team of the Week nod earned away from home, Enoch posted an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double for Rytas against Szombathely.
