Ahead of the final stretch of decisive games in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, FMP Soccerbet has made a coaching change.

The team from Železnik, currently sitting in third place in Group H, above Peristeri Domino’s and below Manisa Basket and UCAM Murcia with a 1-3 record, has hired Petar Aleksic to replace the departing head coach Sasa Nikitovic.

Aleksic played for FMP from 1994 to 1998 and started his coaching career in Austria. He worked as an assistant coach at ALBA Berlin from 2007 to 2009 before leading the Switzerland national team. He then took over Swiss club Fribourg Olympic, guiding them to 18 domestic trophies from 2013 to 2023 and securing a spot in the BCL Regular Season.

FMP is also competing in the ABA League, where, after nine rounds, they sit in 11th place with a 4-5 record.
