Kenneth Faried signed with Unahotels Reggio Emilia, the team announced on Thursday.

His contract lasts until the end of the 2024-25 season.

“I am really excited to be able to continue my career in Italy and have the opportunity to show all my skills with the Reggio Emilia jersey,” said the 35-year-old big, “This team has a great culture and its fans, from what I have heard, participate with enormous energy in the games.”

Since making his way to 496 NBA games with the Denver Nuggets, Brooklyn Nets, and Houston Rockets, Faried mostly focused on overseas options over the next five years, including a brief stint with CSKA in 2021.

Sporting the jersey with number 35 at the team coached by Dimitris Priftis, the next challenge stretches between the Basketball Champions League and Italy’s LBA UnipolSai. On the favorable end of a tie with Rytas at 3-1, Reggio Emilia leads Group F of the BCL Regular Season, looking to clinch a berth in the Round of 16 over the last two fixtures of the six-game schedule. At the domestic level, a 5-3 record ranks sixth.

Fellow Champions League outfit, UCAM Murcia re-signed team captain Nemanja Radovic until the end of the 2026-27 season on Wednesday afternoon. The 33-year-old Montenegrin forward is the all-time leading scorer of the Universitarios.

Elsewhere in the top-tier club continental competition of FIBA Europe, Filou Oostende and King Wilki Morskie Szczecin confirmed long-term injuries for 33-year-old Pierre-Antoine Gillet and 30-year-old Andrzej Mazurczak.
