Before their second clash in this year’s Basketball Champions League, both Manisa Basket and UCAM Murcia could have particularly advanced to the Round of 16 as group winners in Group H.
The former just needed a home victory, the latter had to win by more than six points.
At the end of the forty-minute encounter on the road, last year’s BCL bronze medalists won 78-72, and they will need to wait for another week to figure out their fate.
For UCAM Murcia, both Dylan Ennis (18 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists) and Jonah Radebaugh (19 points over 5/9 from deep and 7 rebounds) stole the show.
Everybody was waiting for Saben Lee in his return game with Manisa Basket, but Hugo Besson stole the show with 27 points for the Turkish side.
The former Maccabi Tel Aviv guard, instead, had a sloppy night with only 8 points over 3/11 from the field.
