After four consecutive defeats to open their Basketball Champions League campaign, RASTA Vechta finally won, beating Promitheas 86-78 in Patras, avoiding an early elimination in Group D.
Brandon Randolph was huge for his team in Greece, recording a team-scoring high with 29 points in only 26:49 minutes of playing time.
Jayden Gardner also contributed with a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds. The 2005-born Johann Grunloh proved once again why he’s one to watch for the upcoming 2025 NBA Draft.
He tied the all-time competition record for most blocks in a single game (7), while also getting close to a double-double with 8 points and 11 rebounds
On the other side, Jordan Walker confirmed himself following the first matchup of the season between the two teams, finishing with 20 points over 4/8 from beyond the arc and 5 assists.
