It looks like each and every week something memorable gets written in the Basketball Champions League history books. Well, this week was really something unprecedented, as Unicaja Malaga found another way to cement its legacy in the European competition.

Ibon Navarro’s team became the team with the longest winning streak in BCL history, with 15 consecutive victories. They did so by taking down Filou Oostende at home, securing a spot in the Basketball Champions League Round of 16 as undefeated group winners at 5-0 in Group B.

The same happened to ERA Nymburk, who keeps on surprising everybody this season. Making it into the Regular Season by going through the Basketball Champions League Qualifying Stage, Francesco Tabellini‘s team beat twice Galatasaray this season, staying unbeaten at 5-0. They’re rocking it.

Elsewhere this week, Hapoel Holon came back in great fashion to stay alive in Group A against Wurzburg, as Michale Kyser tied TaShawn Thomas for most blocked shots in BCL history with 73. In Group A, Igokea managed to beat Nanterre to avoid an early elimination.

Prior to Unicaja‘s outstanding victory, Group B saw a 27-point win coming from Aliaga Petkimspor over King Szczecin; similarly, ERA Nymburk was followed on Wednesday in Group D by RASTA Vechta’s first victory of the Regular Season with 31 offensive rebounds and Johann Grunloh’s 7 boards.

In Group H, after losing three in a row to begin this campaign, Peristeri has now won two consecutive games, including the latest solid 72-66 home win against FMP. UCAM Murcia, instead, spoiled Saben Lee’s BCL return to Manisa but didn’t advance directly. Moving to Vilnius, instead, Reggio Emilia had the game in their hands but was forced to overtime with 1.2 seconds left; then, Rytas won.
