Maccabi Ironi Ramat Gan had lost to AEK Betsson in Athens more than two months ago, falling by nine points (71-80). However, in the final round of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, they got their revenge.
Led by Amin Stevens and Kendale McCullum, the Israeli side defeated AEK 95-84 at home, securing the head-to-head advantage. Despite the victory, Maccabi remains one win behind the Greek side with a 2-3 record.
Stevens finished as the top scorer with 24 points and seven rebounds, while McCullum contributed 23 points, six assists, and four rebounds. Drew Crawford added 12 points, and Isaiah Miles chipped in with 10.
On the opposing side, Hunter Hale scored 17 points, while Mindaugas Kuzminskas added 13 for Dragan Šakota’s team, which now holds a 3-2 record in Group E standings.
