Bertram Derthona Baskets mean business.
The Italian team from Tortona improved to 5-0 in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season Group G by defeating NINERS Chemnitz on the road with a final score of 61-77.
Derthona controlled the game for most of the match, building a double-digit lead in the first quarter and extending it to 58-38 in the third period. Chemnitz briefly trimmed the deficit to single digits, but that was all the hosts could manage.
Christian Vital led the Italian team with 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists, while Justin Gorham and Tommy Kuhse contributed 13 points each. Kuhse also dished out seven assists. Kyle Weems added 12 points, and Ismael Kamagate was close to a double-double with 10 points and eight rebounds.
For Chemnitz, Olivier Nkamhoua stood out with 19 points, while Aher Uguak and Victor Bailey added 13 and 12 points, respectively.
