Wrapping up the Regular Season of the ninth edition of the Basketball Champions League, 16 games across all eight groups are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Following the completion of Gameday 5 and with one fixture left for every participating club in the double-legged round-robin schedule, Eurohoops presented all options for the remaining contenders seeking a berth in the Round of 16.
Defending champion Unicaja is looking for a 16th consecutive win in the top-tier club continental competition of FIBA Europe. Visiting eliminated King Wilki Morskie Szczecin is the last game in Group B. Elsewhere, Filou Oostende and Aliaga Petkimspor are up for the second seed and homecourt advantage in a best-of-three Play-In series.
All four teams of Group A can go from the Round of 16 to a knockout blow. Igokea m:tel is pitted against FIT/ONE Wurzburg Baskets and Nanterre 92 faces Hapoel Netanel Holon. With five wins in as many Champions League meetings opposite Hapoel Holon, Paul Lacombe is seeking a sixth in a row.
Besides a sixth game between Lacombe and Holon, AEK Betsson and Telekom Baskets Bonn clash for a sixth time in the BCL. The collision in Athens will decide the winner of Group E. In the other game, VEF Riga welcomes Maccabi Ramat Gan.
Facing off in Gameday 6 of Group G, Bertram Derthona Tortona and BAXI Manresa have set their sights on first place and a berth in the Round of 16. SL Benfica and Niners Chemnitz battle for the third seed.
Visiting knocked-out WKS Slask Wroclaw, Rytas is aiming for first place in Group F. UnaHotels Reggio Emilia would love to take advantage of a blunder for the Vilnius outfit and beat Falco Vulcano Szombathely.
In Group D, Promitheas Vikos Cola wants a Play-In ticket but needs to slow down ERA Nymburk. Rasta Vechta is the other candidate for the third seed and hosts second-seeded Galatasaray.
In Group H, UCAM Murcia hopes to protect the top spot during a visit by Peristeri Domino’s. Also, Manisa plays at home versus FMP Soccerbet.
Guaranteed on top of Group C, La Laguna Tenerife gets eliminated Kolossos H Hotels. In a battle for second place, Saint-Quentin hosts Karsiyaka.
