The Basketball Champions League Regular Season finishes with a bittersweet victory for SL Benfica, which managed to get out of the winless condition in Week 10 but was still eliminated from contention.

Needing to win by 28 points or more against NINERS Chemnitz, the Portuguese team wasn’t successful and only brought home the 79-68 win over the Germans.

Trey Drechsel was all over the place tonight for the Portuguese capital’s representative, ending with an outstanding double-double of 34 points and 11 rebounds for the home side.

Only Makram Ben Romdhane followed him by scoring in double-digits, finishing with an all-around night of 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists in the latest game of the BCL Regular Season.

On the losing side, Aher Uguak had 12 points, 7 assists, and the best dunk of the month thus far in the Basketball Champions League, contending for Dunk of the Season. Olivier Nkamhoua led the team defeated with 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists.

In Group G, therefore, BAXI Manresa finished by standing on top after overcoming the odds and winning by 18 points over Derthona. NINERS Chemnitz lost but still advanced as third-classified team.
