Maccabi Ramat Gan grabs a narrow win in Riga

Group E of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season is complete. After a win over Telekom Baskets Bonn, AEK Betsson claimed the top spot, sending the German side to second place.

Maccabi Ramat Gan will join Bonn in the Play-Ins after a 93-94 road win over VEF Riga, which eliminated the Latvian side with a 1-5 record.

Kendale McCullum scored the winning points from the free-throw line with seven seconds left on the clock, finishing the game with 10 points. However, Isaiah Miles led the Israeli team’s scoring with 19 points.

Roberto Gallinat contributed 15 points, while Amin Stevens and Adam Ariel added 13 points each. Roi Huber also chipped in with 10 points for Maccabi.

On the other side, Dairis Bertans’ 29-point effort wasn’t enough, with only Issuf Sanon (19 points) and Harrison Cleary (15 points) providing additional support.
