Dealing with several injured players on the way to the Play-Ins of the Basketball Champions League and the second half of the Regular Season of Greece’s Stoiximan GBL, Promitheas Vikos Cola announced the signings of Jordan Davis and Sotiris Oikonomopoulos on Friday.

Davis, 27, is a veteran of 16 appearances in the BCL, spread between UCAM Murcia, Rasta Vechta, and BAXI Manresa. In addition, he has represented Azerbaijan across youth and senior international tournaments, most recently in the European Pre-Qualifiers of the 2027 FIBA World Cup. At the top of the 2024-25 campaign, the former Northern Colorado standout averaged 5.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest over seven games with Rio Breogan in Spain’s Liga Endesa Regular Season.

Oikonomopoulos, 21, is a former regular across junior national teams of Greece and a youth product of Olympiacos, including two campaigns in the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament, now called Adidas NextGen EuroLeague. After parting ways with the Reds, he stayed in the top-flight division of Greece to start the 2023-24 journey with Lavrio before moving his talents to the second division.

Seeking a spot in the Champions League’s Round of 16, the team coached by Ilias Papatheodorou faces Karsiyaka in a best-of-three Play-In series with Game 1 in Izmir on January 8. At the domestic level, a 6-5 W-L tally clinched a berth in the Final 8 of the Cup and is tied for third in the standings behind Panathinaikos Aktor and Olympiacos.
