Errick McCollum, Gytis Radzevicius, Zac Seljaas, Derrick Alston Jr., and Ismael Kamagate were named in the Basketball Champions League Team of the Group Phase on Friday.
McCollum, 36, led Karsiyaka to the Play-Ins through the second seed of Group C of the Regular Season. His efforts extended into five straight games with at least 20 points to settle in a list of seven players averaging over 20 points per game.
Radzevicius, 29, stood out as the Player of the Week 8, before being fitting in the Team of the Group Phase. He made 44% of his three-pointers, leading Rytas directly to the Round of 16 as the top-ranked team in Regular Season Group F.
Seljaas, 27, was the Player of Week 2. Packing the highest efficiency rating among all players in the Regular Season, he fueled a 4-2 run for FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets, good enough for first place in Group A and a ticket to the Round of 16.
Alston, 27, powered up BAXI Manresa en route to the top spot in Group G and a spot in the Round of 16. His efficiency rating settled at 18.3 per contest at the end of a 5-1 sprint.
Kamagate, 23, with Bertram Derthona Tortona was on the wrong end of a tie with Manresa at 5-1. Therefore, the league leader in blocks will battle in the Play-Ins.
Among the five candidates, the Most Valuable Player of the Group Phase will be announced on Saturday.
