Just like last season, when they took care of the best-of-three series against Bertram Derthona, it looks like Galatasaray will go through the Play-Ins in the Basketball Champions League.
Starting the series at home in front of the red-and-yellow fans, Galatasaray won 84-63 against Saint-Quentin and never really looked back, getting Game 1 of this Turkiye-France clash.
Scoring 14 or more in each of his three home games in the Basketball Champions League this season, James Palmer Jr. confirmed himself with 15 tonight, over 3/6 from beyond the arc.
Both centers on Yakup Sekizkok’s team helped Galatasaray get over Saint-Quwntin, as the starter Angel Delgado and his replacement Ebuka Izundu combined for 26 points tonight.
On the losing side, the 2006-born playmaker and projected NBA Draft pick Nolan Traore had a rough shooting night with 5/12 from the field but still had 10 points in the defeat.
Following the easy win in Istanbul’s Basketball Development Centre, Galatasaray will now travel on the road to Saint-Quentin on January 15 at 20:00 CET.
