Pallacanestro Reggiana was the team capable of beating Telekom Baskets Bonn two years ago before the team once coached by Tuomas Iisalo and TJ Shorts turned unstoppable.

This time, once again visiting the Telekom Dome, the Italians were successful once again, but winning Game 1 of their best-of-three Play-In series. They captured the huge 94-91 win on the road.

Jaylen Barford turned clutch with 34 points over 7/7 from beyond the arc on an amazing personal night.

Cassius Winston (21 points and 5 assists) and Kenneth Faried (13 points and 9 rebounds) scored the decisive points down the line for Reggio Emilia, while coach Dimitris Priftis was ejected.

Moving to Bonn, Phlandrous Fleming Jr had a 23-point losing effort over 8/8 from two.

With another win, this time at home in Reggio Emilia’s PalaBigi, the red-and-white Italian team will reach La Laguna Tenerife, BAXI Manresa, and the winner of the series between Aliaga Petkimspor and Hapoel Holon in Group K of the Round of 16.
