Game 2 in the best-of-three series across the Basketball Champions League Play-Ins extends exciting action all around Europe to Tuesday and Wednesday.
Last week, eight teams set up an opportunity to clinch a berth in the Round of 16. The rest of the pack needs to stay alive and next week look for a ticket to the next stage. Review the success rates depending on the Game 1 result.
Perhaps the most demanding assignment belongs to Niners Chemnitz snapping a five-game losing streak in the BCL to force a winner-takes-all Game 3 versus Manisa. Besides the team coached by Kazys Maksvytis, two more Turkish teams, Galatasaray and Aliaga Petkimspor are up 1-0 ahead of an away game. Saint-Quentin and Hapoel Netanel Holon, respectively, are hoping to bounce back in these cases.
Coming out of five straight BCL losses in Patras, Promitheas Vikos Cola hopes to seal the deal against depleted Karsiyaka, besides finally getting the job done at home. Filou Oostende and UnaHotels Reggio Emilia also have an opportunity to complete a two-game sweep at home versus Nanterre 92 and Telekom Baskets Bonn.
Elsewhere in the Game 2 schedule, Bertram Derthona Tortona visits Peristeri Domino’s and Falco Vulcano Szombathely takes on Maccabi Ramat Gan in Opava. Both away sides are looking for a second win to clinch a berth in the Round of 16.
