Following a report of Eurohoops on a deal between Tyrone Wallace and Galatasaray, the Basketball Champions League outfit officially welcomed the 30-year-old combo guard on Friday.

The former California standout signed a contract for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, as announced by the Lions.

After playing in 114 NBA games with the Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, and New Orleans Pelicans, Wallace expanded his career overseas to play for Paris and Turk Telekom, before a brief stint with Zalgiris to start the ongoing campaign.

His new side is heading to a winner-take-all Game 3 in a Play-In series against Saint-Quentin. The winner of the contest to be held in Istanbul’s Basketball Development Center next Tuesday will progress to the Round of 16 of the Champions League. At the domestic level, a 10-4 W-L tally ranks fourth in the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi standings.

Departures from Nymburk and Murcia

Ahead of meeting each other in Group L of the Round of 16, ERA Nymburk and UCAM Murcia parted ways with Spencer Svejcar and Arturs Kurucs, respectively.

Svejcar, 30, is coming off a serious knee injury and a long rehab process. Cleared to return to action and debut in the 2024-25 season, he was released from his contract with Nymburk to sign with Pardubice on Friday.

Kurucs, 24, left Murcia to join Rio Breogan on Thursday. The 25-year-old Latvian guard played in two games of the current BCL season and upped his total between the Universitarios, Promitheas, and VEF Riga to 30.
