Desi Rodriguez has been named Player of the Week in the Basketball Champions League.

The 28-year-old forward of Nanterre 92 won a fan vote opposite the remaining members of the Team of the Week, Cassius Winston of UnaHotels Reggio Emilia, Saben Lee of Manisa, Dakarai Tucker of Hapoel Netanel Holon and Amin Stevens of Maccabi Ramat Gan, to capture the award, as confirmed on Friday.

With his side tying a best-of-three series versus Filou Oostende at 1-1, the Seton Hall product logged a game-high 16 points with 8/9 field goals in COREtec Dome on Tuesday. Five steals, three rebounds, and two assists added to an efficiency rating of 23, symbolically matching his jersey number. Combined with a brilliant showing and the Player of the Week nod, his efforts focused on forcing a deciding Game 3 in France next Wednesday.

In last week’s Game 1 across the best-of-three series leading to the Round of 16, Chase Audige of Filou Oostende ranked first in the fan vote. Similar nods in the Regular Season went to Zoltan Perl of Falco Vulcano Szombathely in Weeks 1 and 3, Zac Seljaas of FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets in Week 2, Jaromir Bohacik ERA Nymburk in Week 4, R.J. Cole of Rytas in Week 5, Paul Lacombe of Nanterre in Week 6, Steven Enoch of Rytas in Week 7, Gytis Radzevicius of Rytas in Week 8, Kendale McCullum of Ramat Gan in Week 9, and Daron Russell of Karsiyaka in Week 10.
