In front of their beloved fans in Pavelló Nou Congost, BAXI Manresa beat Aliaga Petkimspor 96-87 to start this year’s Basketball Champions League Round of 16 in Group K.

It was an intense matchup, with Manresa capable of winning only with a late 12-3 run.

Derrick Alston Jr. was the main protagonist for the hosts, as he led with 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, displaying his supremacy on the court towards the end.

Damyean Dotson and Breein Tyree each put up 20 points, but it wasn’t enough.

This was Manresa’s sixth victory in their last home seven games played in the Round of 16 of the Basketball Champions League.

While BAXI Manresa won against Aliaga Petkimspor at home,  Tenerife took care of business in the Canary Islands against Reggiana also thanks to Marcelinho Huertas’ masterful night.
