Parker Jackson-Cartwright moved his talents to Rytas.
The Vilnius-based team announced the addition of the 29-year-old point guard on Thursday morning.
Coming off an injury at the end of his stint with the BNZ Breakers in Oceania’s National Basketball League, the newcomer is expected to debut with his new team in early March.
“Midway through the season, considering what is missing from our roster, we decided to add a guard with slightly different strengths. Parker is an extremely fast and sharp offensive player, capable of demanding the attention of the defense and of creating opportunities for his teammates,” pointed out head coach Giedrius Zibenas.
Starting Group J of the Basketball Champions League Round of 16 on Wednesday, Rytas pulled away after the break to earn a win over Galatasaray in Active Vilnius Arena. Depending on progress in rehab, the newcomer is projected to join the battle for a spot in the Quarterfinals later in the six-game schedule, following the approaching international break. The former Arizona standout would then debut in the top-tier club continental competition of FIBA Europe.
Over the last two seasons, the former Arizona standout also featured in Turkiye with Galatasaray and Besiktas, besides playing for the Breakers in the NBL, including 18.9 points per game in the 2024-25 season. Earlier professional experience includes 15 appearances in the 2022-23 installment of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and extends to fellow French outfit Saint-Quentin and Germany’s Telekom Baskets Bonn.
