Only surviving lately in the Play-Ins against Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball and following last week’s defeat to Rytas Vilnius to enter the Round of 16, Galatasaray needed to bounce back in Week 2.

They did so with a road victory, not that far from Istanbul as they stayed in the same country. Keeping Manisa at the bottom of Group J, they won 96-85.

James Palmer Jr. stepped up late but finished as his team’s highest scorer with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. Otis Livingston anticipated him and had 18 points over 4/5 from deep.

Close to the rim, the Sadik Emir Kabaca-Ebuka Izundu’s frontcourt duo combined for 28 points and 16 rebounds in Galatasaray‘s victory.

On the losing side, Fabian White Jr. and Yunus Sonsirma each had 19 points. Saben Lee followed with 16 points and 8 assists, not enough.

In the other game played this week in Group J, Unicaja Malaga took care of business at home against Rytas Vilnius, which is now tied at 1-1 with Galatasaray. Manisa stays winless at 0-2.
