From three appearances in the 2023-24 installment of the Basketball Champions League as a PAOK mateco player, Nikos Arsenopoulos returned to the top-tier club continental competition of FIBA Europe by signing a contract until the end of the 2025-26 season with AEK Betsson. The 24-year-old swingman was officially welcomed on Thursday.
A youth product of Olympiacos and a former regular across junior national teams of Greece, Arsenopoulos started the 2024-25 journey in Portugal with CD Povoa, averaging 14.1 points per contest in the Liga Betclic. Before his first experience abroad, he played for PAOK in 2023-24, Ionikos between 2021 and 2023, and Kolosos H Hotels in 2020-21 in the top-tier division of his home country.
The Queen launched the Round of 16 with two wins in as many outings in Group I. A visit at FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets, in a clash between the undefeated clubs of the four-team group, resumes action on March 4.
At 1-1 in Group J, Rytas was busy during the break, extending the contract of 26-year-old Gytis Masiulis until the end of the 2025-26 season on Tuesday. The Lithuanian forward is a veteran of 60 appearances in the Champions League, including 8.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest over eight games of the current season.
On Thursday, Falco Vulcano Szombathely announced that 22-year-old Andras Tanoh Dez will spend the remainder of the campaign with Endo Plus Service Honved, following a loan assignment with Hestia Menorca from the top of the 2024-25 season.
