Henri Drell penned a contract with La Laguna Tenerife for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
The Basketball Champions League outfit officially welcomed the 24-year-old Estonian combo forward on Thursday.
The newcomer started the season with the Rip City Remix, the G League affiliate of the Portland Trail Blazers. He averaged 17.1 points, 7.7 assists, 3.2 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.
Focusing his career in North America over recent years, the native of Tallinn logged four appearances with the Chicago Bulls in the 2023-24 NBA Regular Season, averaging 2.8 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per contest. In addition to the most recent spell with Remix, earlier experience in the G League went into the Windy City Bulls from 2021 to 2024.
At 16, Drell launched his professional career in Germany with Brose Bamberg. Moving his talents to Italy, he played for U.S. Victoria Libertas Pallacanestro between 2019 and his move to the Bulls organization midway through the 2021-22 campaign. In a brief return to the Old Continent, he joined Chorale Roanne at the bottom end of the 2022-23 edition of France’s Betclic Elite.
Representing Estonia, his international career expanded from solid showings at the junior level to the senior national team during the Qualifiers of the FIBA World Cup 2019. He was also capped with Estonia in the 2022 EuroBasket, besides additional appearances in the Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament in 2023 and the Qualifiers of the World Cup 2023 and EuroBasket 2022.
