The American guard had an astonishing game to drag Promitheas in Germany

With AEK already qualified for the BCL Quarter-Finals following a perfect four-game stretch in this year’s Round of 16, things are yet to be decided between Wurzburg and Derthona.

Neither of the two could have qualified this week to the following round, joining the black-and-yellow Greek side, but Wurzburg could have headed to their confrontation with an easy win over winless Promitheas.

Instead, Jordan Walker decided to put on a show, breaking the all-time BCL scoring record with 54 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists; overall, he had a 58-PIR performance. It all took place after two crazy overtimes, with Promitheas getting the surprising 119-115 victory.

Mike Lewis (22 points), Davion Mintz (20 points and 5 rebounds), and Jhivvan Jackson (20 points and 9 assists) tried their best to keep the German side ahead but they weren’t enough.

Wurzburg’s leader Zac Seljaas followed them with 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, finishing with 4/7 from beyond the arc and some clutch plays in the fourth quarter to try help the Germans.

Waiting for the other matchup of the night between the already-qualified AEK and Derthona, fighting with the Germans for the Quarter-Finals, Wurzburg is now at 2-3 in Group I, with Promitheas still at the bottom despite breaking their winless streak.
