Cibona secured a victory in the opener, surprising Galatasaray with a 96-76 win in their return to European competitions.
Khalif Battle scored 32 points for Cibona, Roko Badzim added 19, and Lovro Mazalin contributed 18. For Galatasaray, Aleksej Nikolic and Alen Smailagic each scored 13 points.
At the same time, Cholet also claimed a victory by defeating Hapoel Holon on the road, with a score of 99-79.
The game in Samokov was highlighted by Mohamed Diarra’s 23 points, while Amadou Fall added 15. For Hapoel, Adama Sanogo was the standout performer with 22 points and 13 rebounds, while Lester Medford contributed 15 points and six assists.
Peristeri celebrates in a thriller, victory for Rytas
Peristeri defeated Bamberg 93-87 after the Greek team made a 7-0 run at the end of the match to secure the win.
Jalen Finch scored 21 points for Peristeri, one more than Ty Nichols, while Richard Balint was the best for Bamberg with 16 points.
Rytas also claimed victory, defeating Sabah at home with a score of 82-73.
The hosts were led to victory by Augustas Marciulonis, who scored 22 points, while Gytis Radzevicius impressed with 21 points and 12 rebounds. For Sabah, Frankie Fidler scored 19 points, three more than Nick Perkins, who also had 11 rebounds.
Bilbao, Reggiana and Strasbourg secure victories
In the other Group B match, Strasbourg was dominant against Legia, winning 100-62.
Six players scored in double figures for the French team, with Benjamin Gregg leading with 19 points, while Abdoulaye N’Doye had 15 points and ten assists. For the visitors, Kristers Zoriks with 13 and Daniels Argueter with 12 were the only players to score in double digits.
Bilbao also secured a victory, defeating Igokea 92-79 on the road, with an impressive first-half performance.
Bastien Vautier scored 19 points for the Spanish team, while Martin Krampelj added 12 points. For Igokea, Lazar Stefanovic led the scoring with 17 points.
Reggiana celebrated a home victory against Pardubice with a score of 82-65.
Jaylen Barford was the top scorer of the match with 23 points, followed by Riccardo Visconti with 14 points. For Pardubice, Jamonda Bryant and Ryan Moffatt each scored 13 points.
To wrap up the evening, Joventut secured an 86-75 victory over Bnei Herzliya, ensuring a 100% success rate for the Spanish clubs on the first day.
Emir Sulejmanovic scored 20 points, Simon Birgander added 14, and Kwan Cheatham contributed 12 for Joventut. For the visitors, DJ Brewton scored 20 points, and Zack Bryant had 13.
