Vlado Jankovic needed just one game to show that Aris made a very wise decision to bring him to the club.
Against Banvit in a battle of unbeaten sides, the Greece international was a juggernaut. He and led the Thessaloniki-based side to an 84-78 triumph, one that has left them at the top of Group A with Monaco with four wins and no defeats. He finished the contest with game highs in points (19), rebounds (10) and steals (3) and has as a result beaten out stiff competition to the Gameday 4 MVP award.
Jankovic started the season with Valencia Basket but joined Aris on loan at the beginning of November. He was a real handful on Wednesday, making 6 of 11 shots from the floor, including 2 of 3 from 3-point range.
He was also an impressive 5 of 6 (83.3 percent) at the free-throw line and finished with a game-high efficiency rating of 25.
