A week before the completion of the Group stage of the FIBA Champions League the battle for qualification either to the Round of 16 or the playoffs is raging.
One of the most impressive result of the week came from AEK which grabbed a key road victory in Belgrade against Partizan. If the Greek team also beats Zielona Gora next week at home they might get direct ticket to the Round of 16 as one of the best second-placed teams.
Avellino also managed an impressive win away from home, beating Iberostar Tenerife and now has hopes to finish even first in Group D.
