Michael Roll will continue his career elsewhere, as his agent Giorgos Dimitripoulos tweeted, by using his opt out clause in the contract with the Turkish team.
Eurohoops had reported almost one month ago that Roll’s next stop is expected to be a EuroLeague team, however Besiktas wants to keep its core and Roll was one of the players that the club wanted to keep. However, Roll’s contract included not only an extension option for next season which could be used by the club, but also an opt out clause which could and finally is used by the player.
It remains to be seen which will be Roll’s next team. Besiktas on the other hand needs an other shooter in order to replace him.
