The club announced the already reported deal which reunites Vasilopoulos with coach Panagiotis Giannakis.
The 33 years old forward who played under Giannakis in the Greek national team – winning the 2005 Eurobasket and the second place in 2006 FIBA World Cup – and Olympiacos returns to Thessaloniki, where he started his professional career as a member of PAOK.
Now he will play for the cross-town rival after making his come back on the courts. Vasilopoulos was plagued by injuries, however, during the last two seasons at Koroivos and Kolossos Rhodes he proved that he can still be an asset.
