The Czech team prevailed at home almost by 30 points (99-70) in a one-sided affair. It was all about the hosts from the first second of the match. They outscored the Greeks 27-18 in the first quarter.
In the second period, the visiting team was able to cut the lead down to two (41-39) thanks to veteran forward Panagiotis Vasilopoulos who was great on both sides of the court.
The key: Aris simply didn’t have enough energy to compete in the second half despite the presence of their fans, who followed them on the road. In the last 20 minutes of action as Nymburk scored 53 points allowing just 29 to the opponent.
Star: Quincy Digg was red hot tonight as he finished the game with 19 points and just one miss from the 3 point line (5/6).
Both teams now have a 1-1 record before the Day 3 of the Basketball Champions League.
