A slow start was not a problem for Chalon as they managed to prevail (67-55). The visiting team had the led after the first ten minutes of action (22-17). However, in the second quarter Adam Smith stepped up his game and the home side took the led before the break 36-28. They kept it until the end.
Key: Marvelous defense in the third period of the game was the main reason for the Chalon’s win. The French side built a wall in front of their basket as they allowed just six points in ten minutes!
Star: It was Adam Smith’s game all the way tonight in France. He was all over the floor with a stat line of 25 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds.
Engin Atsur’s all-around performance 10 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists was not enough for Capo D’Orlando. The Italians are now 0-2 and they will play at home next week for the first time in the Basketball Champions League season.
