It’s all about protecting home court as Nanterre passes Avellino 89-81.
The French side didn’t have any problem beating the Italians as they were in control all the time, leading 38-30 at the halftime break.
The Key: Strong defense is what made the difference, especially in the second quarter as Nanterre allowed just 11 points in that period.
The Star: Jamal Shuler was the brightest star tonight with 24 points. Heiko Schaffartzik played a big role as well nailing 21 points.
Nanterre is the only unbeaten team in Group D after round 2 of the Basketball Champions League.
