Basketball Champions League – Day 3 preview

By Stefan Djordjevic / info@eurohoops.net

Probably the most exciting and striking one is a number of overtimes played in just two rounds, six in total. That is the best confirmation of how exciting were the past 2 weeks. Another amazing stat is that more than fifty players are shooting over 50% from the two-point territory (57 athletes to be exactly), but it sounds more stunning that the same number of players are shooting at least 50% beyond the arc.

Group A

On Tuesday night, there is only one game in the Group A as the leader of the group Monaco is facing Enisey at home. The French team is playing outstanding defense as they allowing only 54,5 points per game. Last week they smashed Hapoel Halon 85-56 on the road.  The Russians will have to careful and patient in the offense if they want to win the battle.

In Lithuania on Wednesday Juventus will try to win their first game of the season as they will host Hapoel Halon.  The Israelians are winless as well so one team will feel the taste of the winning.

In Germany, Oldenburg will meet Pinar Karsiyaka and their big man Jarrod Jones who has been outstanding so far.

In the last match of the Group A Murcia will play Sassari.

The Turkish side Banvit are heading to Greece to meet AEK and Petrol Olimpija will host Bayreuth.

French side Strasbourg signed Miro Bilan last week and they will try to overcome Estudiantes with a help from Croatian center.
