Juventus used the home court advantage and beat Hapoel Holon in a very close game 71-69. The visiting team had just 9 players on the roster for tonight’s game and that cost them in the end.
The hosts were in a charge for the most of the time. They had double-digit lead midway through the first half. The Israelis were able to bounce back with a just one minute left on the clock as they took a lead 61-60. Still, they lacked the energy to finish the game and Juventus used that and grabbed their first victory of the season.
The Star: Maksym Korniienko had 15 points and 8 rebounds on his debut for Juventus.
The Key: LaRon Dendy scored 12 points, but his only three-pointer tonight was the key. It was the go-ahead bucket with just over 30 seconds on the game clock and Juventus never looked back after that.
The hosts now have a 1-2 record and Hapoel Holon is left at 0-3.
