Telekom Baskets Bonn got their first win in Basketball Champions League after defeating Aris on the road (73 – 67). The Greek team falls to a 2-2 record with their second lost game in four weeks.
The hosts started the game on the right foot winning both quarters (29 – 39 at the half) but Aris had problems to keep the advantage in the third period. With a great defensive effort, Bonn cut the lead and the game was tied with 10 minutes remaining (53 – 53).
Nemanja Djurisic, who had some decisive plays, led his team in the last minutes.
The key: Bonn came back from a 13 point deficit in the third quarter to get their first win of the season with a great second half.
The star: Julian Gamble completed a great game with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Josh Mayo also contributed with 17 for the winners. Aris’ guard Kwame Vaugh had 16.
