Petrol Olimpija got its first win in a tough game against Movistar Estudiantes with 70 – 67. After this defeat at home, the Spaniards fall to a 2-2 record with two consecutive losses.
It wasn’t easy at all for the guests. Led by Jordan Morgan, who finished the game with 17 points and 6 rebounds, Olimpija managed good advantages in the first half and Estudiantes went to the locker rooms trailing by six (39 – 33).
Salva Maldonado’s men reacted in the second half paced by Omar Cook and Nick Caner-Medley. The guard had 10 points and 6 assists while the power-forward dropped 20.
With six minutes remaining Estudiantes got their first lead of the game (64 – 66) but the team from Ljubliana was better and escaped with the road win.
The key: Estudiantes suffered a Halloween nightmare and struggled shooting beyond the arc (8/30 from three-point mark).
The star: Devin Oliver led Olimpija to its first win with a great performance (17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals).
