Rosa Radom came back from 16-point deficit to beat Banvit 49 – 48. It was the Polish team’s its first victory in the 2017-2018 campaign while last season’s finalists fell to 3-2 record.
After a slow start with both teams shooting poorly (13 – 15, 14′) Banvit took control of the situation and went to the locker rooms with an advantage of 14 points (19 – 33).
Rosa Radoms stormed onto the floor after the break and ultimately balanced the game thanks to a 19-3 run. With one minute left Patrick Auda scored a decisive bucket to give his team the lead for the first team and then Tony Taylor missed the game-winning attempt for Banvit at the buzzer.
The key: The hosts went from 21-37 in the third quarter to 40-40 in the fourth. Rosa Radom allowed just 15 points in the second half.
The star: Auda scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in a game where nobody produced big, as evident by the final score.
