Juventus secured their second victory in the Basketball Champions League by prevailing over Dinamo Sassari at home 90-85 in overtime.
It was a match that became quite close near the end. While the hosts were leading by 10 in the third quarter, Sassari had more energy down the last stretch, managing to force the extra period.
They could also have won it but with the score 78 – 78, Jack Devecchi missed a three-pointer in the last minute
Then… Anthony Ireland happened.
The Key: Ireland hit back to back pull-up jumpers on isolation in the last minute of overtime pushing his team to a victory and making fans chanting his name. He scored 9 points in the extra five.
The Star: Who else? Ireland finished the game with 20 points and his partner in the crime was LaRon Dendy with 22 points and 8 rebounds.
Scott Bamforth had 22 for Sassari but also committed 8 turnovers.
