The guests got a crucial win as they managed to beat UCAM Murcia 96 – 91. The game was close from wire to wire and it was decided in overtime. Pinar Karsiyaka improved to a 4-1 record while the Spaniards are now 2-3 in Group A.
The key: Jarrod Jones forced OT with a three. He finished with 23 points for the visitors and was a big part of their win.
After a tight first quarter, the visitors managed to play better in transition and at the half, Karsiyaka was winning by 7 points (39-32). Murcia reacted in the third period recovering the advantage.
The hosts had a three-point lead with 30 seconds left but Jarrod Jones sent the game to overtime with a contested shot beyond the arc. Vitor Benite was blocked when he tried to win the game. KSK escaped with the win after an entertaining overtime (16-11).
The star: D.J. Kennedy paced Karsiyaka with a double-double. He was unstoppable as he finished with 30 points and 13 rebounds.
Charlon Kloof and Clevin Hannah scored 21 points each for the hosts.
