The Italians had no problem beating CEZ Nymburk at home 80-63. Simply the Czechs didn’t have enough weapon for tonight’s battle so they are going home without the “W”.
The hosts started the game better as they build a 23-14 lead after the first quarter. Until the end, Avellino was able to extend that lead making their fans happy. This was the third victory for them as they now have a 3-2 record.
The Key: The home squad had a more than important advantage inside the paint. They outscored Nymburk in that area by 14 (42-28).
The three musketeers: Dez Wells had 19, Ariel Filloy 16 and Jason Rich 23 points as they were the main force for Avellino tonight.
Vojtech Hruban had 18 points for the losing side, but that is something he won’t celebrate tonight. With this loss, Nymubrk now stands with a 2-3 record after Day 5 of the Basketball Champions League.
