A highly competitive game took place in Spain where AS Monaco defeated UCAM Murcia with the final score being 68 – 63. The guests are the only team that remains perfect in the competition while the Spaniards have a 2-4 record.
It was a close game from wire to wire but a 6-0 run for Monaco allowed them the lead (59 – 55, 35′) and that advantage proved to be enough.
Vitor Benite had the chance to make game-tying shot but he missed and Gerald Robinson finished easily in the other rim.
The key: After struggling with the defensive rebound for three quarters (Murcia ended with 17 offensive rebounds) Monaco controlled it in the last 10 minutes.
The star: Christopher Evans was close to a double-double as he finished with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the visitors. Elmedin Kikanovic also contributed with 14 points.
Clevin Hannah scored 20 points for the hosts.
