Pinar Karsiyaka got an important win as they defeated Enisey 97 – 81 at home after an early comeback.
The Turkish team answered Enisey’s hot start (30-14, 9′) with a 23-2 run that gave them a 7 point lead at the half-time (46 – 39).
The key: The hosts’ early reaction in the second quarter after trailing by 16 was decisive. Pinar Karsiyaka managed to win that period 26-9.
KSK kept increasing the lead in the second half thanks to a great Metin Türen. The big man finished with 19 points and 9 boards
The star: D.J. Kennedy had no mercy against his former team and paced the winners with a double-double. He finished with 24 points, 12 rebounds and also 8 assists. Jarred Jones also contributed with 20 points.
Anthony Hilliard led Enisey in points (26), rebounds (6) and assists (4). The Russians fall to a 2-4 record while Pinar Karsiyaka (5-1) continues just one game behind Monaco in Group A. Both teams will face each other in Week 7.
