Ludwigsburg faces no problem against Capo d’Orlando

MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg beat a struggling Capo d’Orlando 72-61.

The home team was unable to catch the fire in the first quarter as they scored only 7 points that period trailing by 6 (13-7).

In a completely different second quarter, the Italians cracked Ludwigsburg’s defense scoring 23 points as they overtook the lead after the first half 30-29.

The Key: The Germans were the better team in the second half, with a partial score of 43-31, while at the same time they were handling the ball better, using their bigs that outscored the Italians 34-18 from inside the paint.

The Star: Johannes Thiemann led the scoring with 16 buckets, Thomas Walkup had 14, 6 steals, 5 rebounds, 4 assists for the winners.

Jakub Wojciechowski had a game-high with 17 points for Capo d’Orlando. He added 6 boards as well, but it wasn’t enough for the Italians.

Ludwigsburg now stands on a 6-1 record after their 10th straight victory in Bundesliga and Basketball Champions League. Also, this was their 20th win this season as they lost only 2 games so far!

On the other side, Capo d’Orlando now sinks to a 1-6 record.
