Dragan Sakota to coach AEK against Olympiacos

AEK Athens has been going through a rough patch lately, due to consecutive losses in Basketball Champions League and the Greek League, something which has resulted in the termination of coach Manolopoulos’ contract.

On top of that, the team’s Thursday practice was canceled, while at this point the most probable scenario is that Dragan Sakota will be in charge to coach the team against Olympiacos on Sunday.

The decision of Manolopoulos’ departure is expected to be officially announced soon. Ilias Zouros, Soulis Markopoulos and Argiris Pedoulakis are on the team’s plans as a replacement for Manolopoulos, who had initially penned a deal with the team until 2018.
