Dinamo Sassari registered its third consecutive victory in Basketball Champions League -sixth overall- after defeating Pinar Karsiyaka 79 – 70 on the road.
The Italians dominated the first half and they even led by double-digits (39 – 29, 19′). Karsiyaka’s late reaction cut the lead at the break (39 – 35).
The hosts were being incapable to stop Dyshawn Pierre but they managed to keep the game tight. Scott Bamforth’s 10 points in the last quarter closed the game.
The key: D.J. Kennedy didn’t take part in the match and Jarrod Jones struggled offensively for Karsiyaka. Dominic Waters scored 20 points and also had 11 assists, but it wasn’t enough.
The star: Pierre paced the winners with a double-double (17 points + 10 boards) and Scott Bamforth led the guests in scoring with 19.
Dinamo Sassari improved to a 4-4 record while Monaco widened the difference with the Turkish team after they dropped to 5-3.
