Capo d’Orlando dominated Gaziantep at home with 83 – 57. The Italian team got its second win of the season and now is tied with Gaziantep in Group B.
Thanks to a 9 – 0 run in the first quarter (22 – 8, 9′), Orlandina established a double-digit lead. Another run (14 – 0) in the second decided the game before the half.
The key: With 20 minutes to go, Capo d’Orlando was leading 47 – 21, which was a result of the Turkish side’s shooting inefficiency.
The hosts kept the lead in the following quarters and didn’t suffer to get the victory.
The star: Young prospect Arnoldas Kulboka paced the Italians with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists. Big man Jakub Wojciechowski added 17 points and 7 boards.
Erolcan Cinko and Victor Rudd led Gaziantep in scoring with 12 points each.
